Terms of service

These terms explain the practical rules for using Triggerboxd. The service is an early, free product and may change as it improves.

What Triggerboxd provides

Triggerboxd provides community-reported content warnings, family viewing opinions, movie discovery and spoiler-conscious summaries. Film metadata may come from TMDb. Content warnings are viewer reports, not a certification that a film is suitable for a particular person.

Unknown means a topic has not been assessed. It never means None. Different editions or cuts may contain different material, and reports can disagree.

Use of the service

You may browse public movie guides without an account. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, automate abusive traffic, upload malicious material, impersonate another person, or use the service to harass others. Only contribute information about a film you have watched.

Community contributions

You are responsible for the ratings, notes and corrections you submit. Contributions must describe what you observed without publishing unlawful material, private information or deliberate spoilers in unsupported fields. Authorized moderators may restrict or remove material that breaks these rules or appears abusive.

You retain ownership of your contribution. By publishing it, you allow Triggerboxd to display, summarize and moderate it as part of the service.

Accounts and availability

You must keep access to your sign-in method secure and notify us if you believe your account has been misused. We may suspend accounts that threaten the service or other users. Features, data providers and access rules may change. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Third-party information

Movie details, posters, streaming availability and platform names may come from third parties. Links to third-party services are provided for convenience and remain subject to those services' terms and privacy policies. Triggerboxd does not control those services.

Report incorrect guide information through the available correction controls or email info@triggerboxd.com. Include the movie guide URL and the specific issue so it can be reviewed.
